They Know Both Party Machines After Him

Sarah Palin was on Justice with Judge Jeanine Pirro on Saturday night. Judge Jeanine said, "How can Newt distance himself and say that he's not an insider? There are those who would say he's the consummate Washington insider. He was Speaker of the House. He was in Congress for 20 years."

Palin responded: " When both party machines and many in the media are trying to crucify Newt Gingrich for bucking the tide and bucking the establishment, that tells ya something. And I say, "You know, you gotta rage against the machine at this point in order defend our republic and save what is good and secure and prosperous about our nation." We need somebody who's engaged in sudden and relentless reform and isn't afraid to shake it up. Shake up that establishment. So if for no other reason: "Rage against the machine: Vote for Newt! Annoy a liberal: Vote Newt." As more debate happens, Judge, we'll here more from Newt and from the other candidates who will oppose his position as he claims that he's not part of the establishment. Let's hear more about it!"

In South Carolina she endorsed Newt. "If I lived there, I'd vote Newt." She went on, "Rage against the machine: Vote for Newt! Annoy a liberal: Vote Newt." She's clearly sending a message to Florida and other primary voters. Keep this campaign going, keep it running. She keeps talking about the need to have everybody vetted here, the desire to have conservatism debated front and center, full-fledged media attention for as long as possible. Saturday night at the Lincoln Day Dinner, the Palm Beach County Republican Lincoln Day Dinner, Herman Cain endorsed Newt.

Cain said, " I hereby officially and enthusiastically endorse Newt Gingrich for president of the United States!"

Palin and Cain know the establishment, the Washington insiders are after Newt Gingrich. The Republican establishment doesn't want Newt the nominee. They know they can't control him and keep Washington just as it is now.

The establishment is trying to make the pick like they did in 2008. If you want change vote for Newt Gingrich.

Rubio Responds To Obama's 'Divisive Rhetoric'

Senator Marco Rubio (R-FL) on Saturday accused Barack Obama of failed leadership during the weekly Republican address as political attention turns to the lawmaker's home state leading up to its primary.

Rubio predicted Obama would use politics of division in the upcoming election year to secure his own re-election.

"He tells Americans worried about their jobs that the way to help them is to raise their bosses' taxes, Rubio said. "He tells those who are hurting that the only way they can be better off, is for others to be worse off. He tells all of us that the only way for some of us to climb up the economic ladder is for others to be pulled down."

"This divisive rhetoric, this effort to gain political support by convincing some that they will be better off if we punish others, this stuff has never worked anywhere it's been tried," Rubio added.

"No economic system is perfect," Rubio said. "But the American free enterprise system has empowered millions of people in the past. I know, because I saw it with my own eyes. My father was a bartender. And I thank God every night that there was someone willing to risk their money to build a hotel on Miami Beach and later in Las Vegas where he could work."

Rubio calls it correctly. For the last year Obama has been pushing class warfare. He can't run on his dismal record.

Teacher Kids Capitalism

A Simple Explanation

The kids filed into class Monday morning. They were very excited. Their weekend assignment was to sell something, then give a talk on productive salesmanship.

Little Sally led off: "I sold girl scout cookies and I made $30" she said proudly, "My sales approach was to appeal to the customer's civil spirit and I credit that approach for my obvious success."

"Very good" said the teacher.

Little Jenny was next: "I sold magazines" she said, "I made $45 and I explained to everyone that magazines would keep them up on current events."

"Very good, Jenny," said the teacher.

Eventually, it was Little Johnny's turn. The teacher held her Breath. Little Johnny walked to the front of the classroom and dumped a box full of cash on the teacher's desk. "$2,467" he said.

"$2,467!" cried the teacher, "What in the world were you selling?"

Toothbrushes" said Little Johnny.

"Toothbrushes?" echoed the teacher, "How could you possibly sell enough tooth brushes to make that much money?"

"I found the busiest corner in town" said Little Johnny, "I set up a Chip and Dip stand, and I gave everybody who walked by a free sample.

They all said the same thing, 'Hey, this tastes like dog poop!' Then I would say, 'It IS dog poop! Wanna buy a toothbrush?'

I used the Barack Obama method of giving you something crappy, dressing it up so it looks good, telling you it's free, and then making you pay to get the bad taste out of your mouth."

Obama Wants Fairness

What Does Obama Mean

For several months in speeches and in his State of the Union speech Barack Obama talks about fairness and everyone paying their fair share. I know of NO one who doesn't believe everyone should pay their fair share. For Obama though fairness is a buzzword.

Life isn't fair. Eli Peyton and RG III are great quarterbacks. I'm not. Is that fair? Tim Duncan is a great basketball player. I'm not. Is that fair.

Obama talks about everyone playing by the same rules. Then he wants to change the rules. He doesn't want fairness as you and I think of. He wants to take from the workers and give to the non producers.

He can't run on his record so Obama needs a platform. He tries to paint the Republicans as do nothing. It's Harry Reid and the Democrats who won't do anything.

Obama a long time ago decided class warfare was his only chance to win reelection. He doesn't care how much it hurts the country. He doesn't care how many get hurt. He has his union goons to dish out punishment.

All of his life Obama has been around socialists, terrorists, and America haters. He understands nothing about capitalism. He does know about class warfare and redistribution of wealth. He does believe in the government making all decisions for you and for business.

He is doing all he can to push European socialism on America. Fairness to Obama is socialism and the ruling class.

The Federal Debt Is Crippling America

In the near future, the U.S. debt ceiling will be raised to over $16 trillion. The current federal debt is101% of GDP. This is not sustainable in the long run. Where is the outrage?

If the main stream media were doing their job, there would be daily articles scathing the Obama administration for adding over $5 trillion of debt in the last three years, asking why there are no new programs designed to reduce spending and debt, and wondering why after three years of stimuli efforts there remain 1.6 million fewer jobs than in January 2009.

Instead of asking for answers to these important questions, much of the main stream media has joined the Democrat propaganda machine vilifying venture capitalists, asking for tax increases on the rich and extolling the perils of the nation’s wealth distribution.

Where are the stories of how private equity capital assisted in the development and success of companies like Microsoft and Apple or about the huge role equity capital has played in U.S. technology world dominance?

Isn’t United States GDP nearly three times that of its nearest competitor partly because of the infusion of private equity capital?

These stories remain unwritten while we hear stories about employees who lost jobs because a failing company was shut down.

Although the MSM would have us believe that wealth distribution trends in the United States are unique and harmful, many studies have shown that since 1910 these same trends exist worldwide.

The Huffington Post and The New York Times continuously refer to a survey by Michael Norton and Dan Ariely showing wide variances in wealth distribution between Sweden and the United States, and that Americans overwhelmingly prefer the Swedish model. But they fail to mention that the authors conveniently chose to use income distribution for Sweden and wealth distribution for the U.S.

I’m not sure what these trends mean, but I’m sure that I would rather live in a country where everyone has the freedom and opportunity to acquire wealth.

America is where a minority child of modest means can attend Columbia University and Harvard University and become president.

Obama's State of the Union Will Be Socialism

Obama Calls it Being Fair

Tonight Barack Obama will use his election-year State of the Union address to argue that it is government’s role to promote a prosperous and equitable society, drawing a stark contrast between the parties in a time of deep economic uncertainty.

Obama has promised a populist "blueprint for an American economy that’s built to last," with the government assisting the private sector and individuals to ensure "an America where everybody gets a fair shot, everyone does their fair share and everybody plays by the same set of rules."

Last week at fund-raisers in New York, he told supporters that his push for a government hand had a precedent dating to the construction of canals and interstate highways, and the creation of land-grant colleges and the G.I. Bill. He said that Republicans had moved so far to the right that 2012 will be a "hugely consequential election."

He is attempting to defuse the Republicans’ small-government message. Obama is confronting them, and framing the election-year debate in a way that aides say will challenge Republicans’ support for unfettered American markets and "you’re-on-your-own economics," as he put it in December in Osawatomie, Kan., in a speech that was a prelude for Tuesday’s address.

Obama will propose to double-down on clean-energy incentives; and to improve education and job training initiatives, especially for the millions of long-term unemployed, the officials familiar with the speech said.

He will revive politically popular proposals from the $447 billion job-creation package that he announced after Labor Day, but that Congressional Republicans blocked. He will again call for subsidies to struggling states to keep teachers and first-responders in their jobs, for money for roads and other infrastructure projects, and for extending for the remainder of the year both the temporary payroll tax cut for 160 million workers and federal payments to the long-term unemployed.

Obama wants you to buy his failed policies and do more of the same. Teachers and first-responders aren't losing their jobs. This is another feeble attempt to buy votes.

Obama will propose an even bigger federal government, higher taxes, and more handouts for the non producers. The speech will be about socialism. Obama will be campaigning for socialism, not freedom.

America don’t let the elitist progressive liberal behavior of Barack Obama and the elitist progressive liberal Democrats destroy America. Gingrich Shows The Elite Wins South Carolina

Is This The Beginning Of Something Good?

We were told Saturdays primary was do or die for Newt Gingrich. Gingrich was leading Romney by 14 points, 41 percent to 27 percent, with 88 percent of precincts reporting. A week before, Romney had a large lead in opinion polls here.

Gingrich cast his success as a sign that average Americans are angry at "elites" in New York and Washington, and in the news media particularly. He said he would use his debating skills to challenge President Obama, proposing a series of seven three-hour debates before the general election.

"We’re now three contests into a long primary season. This is a hard fight because there’s so much worth fighting for. We’ve still got a long way to go, and a lot of work to do," Romney told supporters. He then attacked Gingrich, without naming him, for sharing some of the same attributes as President Obama. "Our party can’t be led to victory by somebody who has also never run a business and never run a state," Romney said.

Far behind in third place was former Senator Rick Santorum (Pa.), who took Iowa from Romney by 34 votes. He said afterward that Gingrich "kicked butt."

"The great narrative of this is that three days ago there was an inevitability in this race. ... I took Iowa, Newt took South Carolina, and it’s game on again," Santorum said. "I can’t be more excited for the opportunity now to see this campaign go on, and we’re going to have it go on for a long time."

"I think Mitt Romney is a good man," said Harold Wade, 85, leaving a polling place in this picturesque seaside suburb outside Charleston. "But I think we’ve reached a point where we need someone who’s mean."

That was Gingrich, he said. "What we need is someone who’s got some brains," Wade said, explaining his vote for the former speaker. "And we need someone with some guts."

We can only hope this is something good for everyday working Americans. The elite and MSM keep telling us Romney is the only Republican that is electable. Working Americans are making a statement to the elite and MSM.

Oklahoma Votes Against Sharia Law

Court Blocks Implementation

Oklahoma voters approved by 70% a constitutional amendment to apply laws of the US in their decisions and banned them from drawing on Islamic Law or other foreign laws, an appeals court said the "ban discriminates against Islam'. A Muslim community leader has the right to challenge its constitutionality, a federal appeals court said.

The court in Denver upheld U.S. District Judge Vicki Miles-LaGrange's order blocking implementation of the amendment. The case now returns to federal court in Oklahoma City to determine the constitutionality of the proposed amendment.

Muneer Awad, the executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) in Oklahoma, sued to block the law from taking effect, arguing that the Save Our State Amendment violated his First Amendment rights.

"This is an important reminder that the Constitution is the last line of defense against a rising tide of anti-Muslim bigotry in our society, and we are pleased that the appeals court recognized that fact," Awad said. "We are also hopeful that this decision serves as a reminder to politicians wishing to score political points through fear-mongering and bigotry."The amendment read, in part: "The courts shall not look to the legal precepts of other nations or cultures. Specifically, the courts shall not consider international law or Sharia law."

State Senator Anthony Sykes, who led the Senate effort to get the measure on the ballot, said Tuesday he would continue to fight to lift the injunction. "The federal appeals court in Denver attempted to silence the voice of 70 percent of Oklahoma voters," Sykes said in a statement. "At some point we have to decide whether this is a country of by and for the judges, or of by and for the people. How far will the people let them go? This ruling is right along with legalizing abortion and forced busing of school children."

Backers argued that the amendment intended to ban all religious laws, that Islamic law was merely named as an example and that it wasn't meant as a specific attack on Muslims. The court disagreed.

Awad argued that the ban on Islamic law would likely affect every aspect of his life as well as the execution of his will after his death. The appeals court pointed out that Awad made a "strong showing" of potential harm.

"When the law that voters wish to enact is likely unconstitutional, their interests do not outweigh Mr. Awad's in having his constitutional rights protected," the court said.

The case now returns to federal court in Oklahoma City to determine the constitutionality of the proposed amendment.

"Article III, Section 2 of the Constitution states that, "The judicial power shall extend to all cases, in Law and Equity, arising under this Constitution, the Laws of the United States…" "shall not look to the legal precepts of other nations or cultures. Specifically, the courts shall not consider international law or Sharia Law."

The courts again are overstepping their boundaries. America has a Constitution and laws. Why would a court say it is unconstitutional for American courts to use only American laws?

More Solyndra's On The Horizon

May Be $6.5 Billion More Lost

The controversial government loan to now-bankrupt Solyndra wasn't an isolated incident. CBS This Morning reporter Sharyl Attkisson explained, "We identified 11 green energy companies beside Solyndra that, together, got billions of tax dollars then declared bankruptcy or are suffering other serious financial issues."

A CBS graphic blared, "The New Solyndra's." Co-host Charlie Rose touted this scoop as one "you'll only see on" CBS." It will be interesting to see if ABC and NBC follow up on the investigation's findings that there is "a pattern of the government pouring your tax dollars into clean energy." Attkisson exposed a $43 million loan to a "dismal" green energy company and another linked to Harry Reid.

Most surprising, perhaps, is how bad off the government knew some of the investments were before committing all that money. Take Beacon Power, a green energy storage company. We were surprised to learn what the Energy Department knew before committing $43 million of your money. Documents obtained by CBS News show Standard & Poor's had confidentially given the project a dismal outlook of triple C-plus. Would you put your personal money into an investment that's triple C-plus?

Attkisson implicated Reid in the developing story: "Nevada Geo-Thermal, a home state project personally endorsed by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, warns of potential defaults in new S.E.C. filings reviewed by CBS News." She added, "It was already having trouble paying the bills when it received $98.5 million in Energy Department loan guarantees."

Barack Obama has chosen green energy because it fits in line with his vision of one day bankrupting the coal industry, as he warned us about in 2008. Instead, he will use the government to invest in industries that he has deemed worthy, defying any market trends or consumer demands (or lack thereof).

Reid Says Republicans Drop Tea Party

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid on Sunday prepared for Congress' return to Washington this week with a warning to Republicans to leave Tea Party "extremism" behind and "learn what legislation is all about." He said it's time to rebuild America by working together to create jobs.

"I would hope that they understand that everything doesn't have to be a fight. Legislation is an art of working together, building consensus, compromise. And I hope that the Tea Party doesn't have the influence in this next year that they had in the previous year," Reid said.

Reid claims that Republicans are engaged in "obstructionism on steroids," the Nevada Democrat said Barack Obama for two and a half years "bent over backwards" to reach out to Republicans, only to find a fist rather than a hand to shake. Reid said he'd prefer that Democrats not have to go it alone in the Senate this year, but since last September they have succeeded on moving several items without minority cooperation.

"I hope that the Republicans will understand, as they learned in the last week in the last year, that they can't be led over the cliff by this extremism," Reid said.

The Senate led by Harry Reid hasn't passed a budget in over 1000 days. The Senate led by Reid has refused to take up over 125 bills passed in the House.

When has Obama reached out to the Republicans? When he was having problems with Obamacare he held a joint conference to remind the Republicans that he won and elections have consequences. I believe the Republicans cleaned house in the 2010 elections. Yes elections do have consequences.

Obama, Reid, and the Democrats are the extremists not the Tea Party. Obama's campaign will be running against a do nothing Congress. Obama and Reid don't want any legislation passed.

Obama To Raise Debt Ceiling Another $1.2T

On Pace To Borrow $6.2T In One Term

Barack Obama sent Congress a .letter saying the government is within $100billion of running out of money. Now that Obama has sent the letter, Congress has 15 days to pass a resolution of disapproval or the debt ceiling will rise automatically by $1.2 trillion, according to the terms of the August debt ceiling compromise.

Obama has been increasing the national debt during his presidency by an average of $4.24 billion per day putting him on a pace to increase the national debt by $6.2 trillion by the end of his term on Jan. 20, 2013, according to the debt figures published by the U.S. Treasury.

That $6.2 trillion is more debt than was accumulated by all U.S. presidents from George Washington through Bill Clinton combined. In fact, the U.S. national debt did not eclipse the $6.195 trillion level—the amount Obama is on pace to increase it in one term—until August 19, 2002, during President George W. Bush’s second year of office.

The national debt was $10.6 trillion on Jan. 20, 2009, the day Obama was inaugurated. As of the close of business on Jan. 11, 2012, it was $15.2 trillion. In Obama’s first 1,087 days in office, the debt increased $4.6 trillion or an increase of $4.24 billion per day.

Obama is deliberately destroying America's economy. The fundamental change he promised in 2008 is a change to socialism. If he isn't defeated in 2012 America may never recover from the damage he is doing.

Wasserman Schultz Attacks Tea Party

Representative Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) insinuated that the Tea Party, which she said regards political opponents as "the enemy," has enhanced divisiveness in Congress. In the New Hampshire speech she further insinuated that the Tea Party had something to do with Representative Gabby Gifford's shooting in Tucson, AZ.

"We need to make sure that we tone things down, particularly in light of the Tucson tragedy from a year ago, where my very good friend, Gabby Gifford's -- who is doing really well, by the way, -- [was shot]," Wasserman Schultz, the Democratic National Committee chair said during a "Politics and Eggs" forum this. "The discourse in America, the discourse in Congress in particular . . . has really changed, I'll tell you. I hesitate to place blame, but I have noticed it take a very precipitous turn towards edginess and lack of civility with the growth of the Tea Party movement."

Wasserman Schultz doubled down on her attack. "You had town hall meetings that [the Tea Party] tried to take over, and you saw some their conduct at those town hall meetings," Wasserman Schultz said today. "When they come and disagree with you, you're not just wrong, you're the enemy." She added that "when they disagree with you on an issue, you're not just wrong, you're a liar."

She failed to mention the amount of violence at Occupy demonstrations around the country. Or that you can’t find one verified report of violence from a participant in a Tea Party rally. Occupiers left their occupied sites full of trash .. and sometimes dead bodies. Tea Partiers always cleaned up. And I’m still waiting to see the a picture of a Tea Partier taking a crap on a police car. Edginess? Lack of Civility? That’s the occupiers, not the Tea Partiers.

Obama Administration Attacks Voter ID's

Should You Have ID To Vote?

The Obama Department of Justice led by Eric Holder nullified South Carolina's photo ID law. Stating that tens of thousands of minorities won't be able to vote because they don't have the proper ID. Attorney General Eric Holder spoke out against the law, saying that we should "resist the temptation to suppress certain votes in the hope of attaining electoral success."

DNC Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz was even blunter, saying that voter ID laws are "essentially designed to rig an election." Democrats argue that voter ID laws are designed to disenfranchise poor black voters, the voters least likely to have photo ID and most likely to vote for Democrats. They've been referred to as "a return to the Jim Crow era," Wasserman Schultz calling them "a full scale attack on the right to vote."

We as citizens need to show our ID's all the time in our daily lives for much less important situations.

Drive a car, must have ID.

Cash a check, must have ID.

Buy alcohol or cigarettes, must have ID.

Apply for a job, must have ID.

Picking up a package at post office, must have ID.

You have to show ID for any government services....I have one question, how did they get welfare if they did not have an ID? Because you have to show an ID for food stamps and welfare.

By not making it mandatory to show ID to vote, only invites voter fraud.

Republicans counter that the laws are designed to prevent voting fraud. The Supreme Court upheld (6-3) an Indiana law stricter than South Carolina's. Not only did opponents of the law fail to show that it systematically disenfranchised any group, they failed to show that it disenfranchised anyone at all.

The Democrats need voter fraud to win elections. ACORN is a prime example of voter fraud. It should be imperative that anyone wanting to vote should have a valid picture ID.

Cut Spending To Resolve Federal Deficit

Congressional Gridlock Is Working

Many on the left have recently complained that conservatives complain about the deficit but refuse to raise taxes.

That’s correct. Conservatives want to cut spending as an alternative to higher taxes!

They say Conservatives don’t want to cut military spending. I believe they would prefer to cut welfare.

The left cites the "liberal tradition of limited government," although the current administration has added thousands of government workers to the payroll.

Congress "conveniently forgot" the Contract With America when Republicans became the majority party in the House of Representatives in 1994.

The truth is that they actually fulfilled their contract, which promised to pass eight major reforms and bring 10 additional bills to the floor for debate within their first 100 days in office.

They claim that the GOP has acted to restrict voting, and in this they are correct.

The Republicans have tried repeatedly to "restrict voting" by trying to require valid identification of people who go to the polls —and have been rejected repeatedly in these attempts.

There are the claims that the Republicans want to raise taxes on the 99 percent, but the truth is that 46 percent of Americans pay no federal income tax at all!

As for calling the war on drugs "government waste," I prefer to consider actions such as funding bankrupt Solyndra to the tune of more than half a billion bucks as really dumb government waste.

Solyndra was making solar panels that cost $6 to manufacture, and selling them for $3 apiece in the marketplace, where solar panels generally went for $2 each.

How really dumb is that?

So I say, until Conservatives take control of the grotesquely lavish spending we’ve seen lately, let’s all hope there is more — not less — gridlock. Congressional gridlock is working to slow government spending. We need to cut spending not raise taxes to resolve the federal deficit.

We Can Change Ourselves And Help Those Us

Life is about transitions. I believe the year ahead will open new doors and present valuable opportunities for all of us.

In 2012 I resolve to:

Appreciate family, friends and colleagues. Nobody is perfect and accepting that helps relationships.

Act on wrongs. Set a positive example by not accepting negativity.

Be a valuable teammate. Trust others to do their best.

Listen to children and elders. Accepting the wisdom of innocence and experience is both free and priceless.

Accept that I don’t know everything. By collaborating, we can create a great brain trust and blend expertise.

Pleasantly surprise someone. Use a genuine smile and unexpected kindness in word and deed every day.

Respect and celebrate diversity. Differences of faiths, feelings and fashions are natural. Honoring each others’ perspectives creates admiration.

Exercise artistic expression. The vitality of the instrumental, literary, dance, visual or vocal arts fuels the soul and expands the mind to new possibilities.

Think first. Regret is preventable if you think before speaking.

Honor courageous sacrifice. Appreciate those, both home and abroad, who care for our health, educate, protect us and perform the healing and helping arts.

Share even when it’s difficult. Setting an example by giving to others in need is one of the best lessons for children to observe.

Protect, defend and advocate. Give special attention to the needs of others of every stage of life who may not know how to find their own voice.

Preserve natural environments. Plant life and animals are too often victims of our wants, not our needs.

Never give up. Perseverance is part of effective leadership, attracts allies, and creates meaningful change.

Speak truth to power. Be both polite and persistent. Resist aggressiveness, but advocate with assertion, confidence and commitment.

Advocating for prevention policies that keep bad things from happening is the most important of all investments.

Understanding What Happened

Heidi is the proprietor of a bar in Detroit ... She realizes that virtually all of her customers are unemployed alcoholics and, as such, can no longer afford to patronize her bar.

To solve this problem, she comes up with a new marketing plan that allows her customers to drink now, but pay later. Heidi keeps track of the drinks consumed on a ledger (thereby granting the customers loans). Word gets around about Heidi's "drink now, pay later" marketing strategy and, as a result, increasing numbers of customers flood into Heidi's bar. Soon she has the largest sales volume for any bar in Detroit.

By providing her customers freedom from immediate payment demands, Heidi gets no resistance when, at regular intervals, she substantially increases her prices for wine and beer, the most consumed beverages. Consequently, Heidi's gross sales volume increases massively. A young and dynamic vice-president at the local bank recognizes that these customer debts constitute valuable future assets and increases Heidi's borrowing limit. He sees no reason for any undue concern because he has the debts of the unemployed alcoholics as collateral!

At the bank's corporate headquarters, expert traders figure a way to make huge commissions, and transform these customer loans into DRINKBONDS. These "securities" then are bundled and traded on international securities markets.

Naive investors don't really understand that the securities being sold to them as "AAA Secured Bonds" really are debts of unemployed alcoholics. Nevertheless, the bond prices continuously climb - and the securities soon become the hottest-selling items for some of the nation's leading brokerage houses.

One day, even though the bond prices still are climbing, a risk manager at the original local bank decides that the time has come to demand payment on the debts incurred by the drinkers at Heidi's bar. He so informs Heidi. Heidi then demands payment from her alcoholic patrons. But, being unemployed alcoholics -- they cannot pay back their drinking debts.

Since Heidi cannot fulfill her loan obligations she is forced into bankruptcy. The bar closes and Heidi's 11 employees lose their jobs. Overnight, DRINKBOND prices drop by 90%. The collapsed bond asset value destroys the bank's liquidity and prevents it from issuing new loans, thus freezing credit and economic activity in the community. The suppliers of Heidi's bar had granted her generous payment extensions and had invested their firms' pension funds in the BOND securities. They find they are now faced with having to write off her bad debt and with losing over 90% of the presumed value of the bonds.

Her wine supplier also claims bankruptcy, closing the doors on a family business that had endured for three generations, her beer supplier is taken over by a competitor, who immediately closes the local plant and lays off 150 workers.

Fortunately though, the bank, the brokerage houses and their respective executives are saved and bailed out by a multibillion dollar no-strings attached cash infusion from the government. The funds required for this bailout are obtained by new taxes levied on employed, middle-class, non-drinkers who have never been in Heidi's bar.

Obama Says Free Markets Don't Work

Based on his recent speech in Osawatomie, Kansas, Barack Obama appears to have reassessed the political landscape in advance of the 2012 elections. For most of his time as a national political figure, Obama has been careful to cloak his core socialist leanings behind a veil of pro-capitalist rhetoric.

Americans still largely identify him as pro-capitalist. However, based on the growth of the Occupy Wall Street movement, and the recent defeat of Republicans in special elections, he has perhaps sensed a surge of left-leaning sentiment; and, as a result, he finally dropped the pretense.

According to our Obama's new view of history, capitalism is a theory that has "never worked." He argues that its appeal can't be justified by results, but its popularity is based on Americans' preference for an economic ideology that "fits well on a bumper sticker." He feels that capitalism speaks to the flaws in the American DNA, those deeply rooted creation myths that elevate the achievements of individuals and cast unwarranted skepticism on the benefits of government. He argues that this pre-disposition has been exploited by the rich to popularize policies that benefit themselves at the expense of the poor and middle class.

It is not by some genetic fluke that Americans distrust government. It is an integral and essential part of our heritage. The United States was founded by people who distrusted government intensely and was subsequently settled, over successive generations, by people fleeing the ravages of government oppression. These Americans relied on capitalism to quickly build the greatest economic power the world had ever seen, from nothing.

But according to Obama's revisionist version of American history, we tried capitalism only briefly during our history. First, during the Robber Barron period of the late 19th Century, the result of which was child labor and unprecedented lower-class poverty. These ravages were supposedly only corrected by the progressive policies of Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilson. We tried capitalism again in the 1920s, according to Obama, and the result was the Great Depression. This time, it allegedly took FDR's New Deal to finally slay that capitalist monster. Then, the account only gets more farcical. Apparently, we tried capitalism again under George W. Bush, and the result was the housing bubble, financial crisis, and ensuing Great Recession. Obama now argues that government is needed once again to save the day.

Capitalism did not start with J.P. Morgan in 1890s or John D. Rockefeller in the 1920s as the Obama suggests. In fact, it was about that time that capitalism came under attack by the progressives. We were born and prospered under capitalism. The Great Depression did not result from unbridled capitalism, but from the monetary policy of the newly created Federal Reserve and the interventionist economic policies of both Hoover and Roosevelt - policies that were decidedly un-capitalist.

Obama is uncloaking his socialist philosophy. His goal is to make America another 3rd world socialist country.

Obama Threatens To Veto Pipeline Bill

Is Obama Anti Job?

What does Barack Obama have against creating jobs? Many of his supporters are allergic to actually having to work for a living. Is Obama allergic too?

The House of Representatives passed a bipartisan payroll extension bill on Tuesday. They attached the Keystone XL pipeline to the bill. Approved on a vote of 234 to 193, the Republican tax bill would extend a one-year break in the payroll tax that is due to expire at the end of the month, setting the rate at 4.2 percent for the year instead of allowing it to revert to 6.2 percent.

The bill also would accelerate the construction of an oil pipeline from Canada to the Gulf Coast that the White House is determined to slow down. It will create upwards of 20,000 "union" jobs for a period of up to about 2-3 years. It is estimated that about 10,000 of those jobs will be in the U.S..

The Keystone XL pipeline is projected to create approximately 110,000 ancillary jobs. These are jobs Americans desperately need.

Why would Obama veto this bill. Is it because if people are working and not dependant on the government, they tend to want to keep as much as possible of their earnings, and are no longer beholding/enslaved to the government.

The more people depend on the government the more votes Obama can count on. If you can keep the people in this continual state of poverty and reliance on the government, you create generational dependency, and keep the votes rolling in. Eventually the transition to a socialist state is complete.

But you still need money, so you create class warfare and take as much as you can from the highest and most productive producers in the nation with the promise that you will give it to the government dependent citizens. You get the money, power, and the votes. But eventually all freedom is gone.
