Tax Dollars At Work Buying iPods For Families
Florida County Spends Stimulus Money For iPods
The Polk County (Florida) school district is giving away iPods to some parents. The district is spending about $350,000 in federal stimulus money for the iPods. The school district is using the device to reward parents of children with disabilities who fill out a 10-minute online survey. The district wants to know how well it's connecting with the parents and how to get parents involved in their children's education.
How many jobs is this $350,000 tax dollars saving? How many jobs is it creating? Knowing bureaucracies and school districts they will decide shortly they need additional staff to interrelate with the parents who have these free iPods.
Anything schools can do to help disabled students is great. Having said that how will $350,000 worth of iPods help these children? Is this a prudent way to spend tax dollars?
This is another waste of stimulus money. This is an example of the stimulus money not being used to stimulate the economy and create or save jobs.
America can’t afford this waste of tax dollars. The deficit is growing every minute. People are losing their jobs and homes while Polk County school district wastes $350,000.
As we find more wastes like this we will report them to America. We will point out how poorly designed and implemented this socialist Democrat stimulus package has been. Obama touts jobs created and saved. America has not seen those jobs because they don’t exist. Let us know of waste you have seen in your area.
