Overall Only 44% Approval For Obama

A new Marist College survey poll shows Barack Hussein Obama’s poll numbers keep dropping. The poll, conducted February 1-3, showed just 44% of registered voters approving of Obama's job as president. 47% disapprove. But among independent voters, Obama's approval rating sits at a terrible 29%, while his disapproval rating is at 57%.

Can anyone win in today’s climate without the independent vote? Obama needed that vote to win in 2008.  The person elected in 2012 will need the independent vote too.

Obama's 44% job approval rating is the lowest he has scored in any non-internet poll since moving into the WH, according to a review of data compiled by Pollster.com.

While the GOP strives to avoid attacking Obama personally, for fear of offending voters who see him in a favorable light personally, even that aura of invincibility is wearing off. Independent voters view Obama negatively, too, by a 39% favorable to 52% unfavorable margin.

The poll shows 47% believe Obama has failed to meet their expectations; including 25% of Democrats, 65% of Republicans, and 53% of independent voters.  Just 42% say he has met their expectations. 38% say Obama's policies are moving the country in the wrong direction, while 37% say they're making the country better.

The Marist poll is now joining Rasmussen and Gallup showing Obama's favorable rating dropping. Soon it will be everywhere, CBS, ABC, NBC, New York Times, Washington Post, and Wall Street Journal.  America is waking up.  People now see who and what Obama is.  The American people are rejecting his socialist agenda.  The tide is turning as more people say NO to Obama’s agenda.

Members of Congress should brace for a difficult election year too.  42% of registered voters said they would back their current member of Congress, while 44% said they would support someone else. That's a drop of 9 points in support of the incumbent in just 2 months.
