Tea Party More Popular Than The Republican Party
Republicans Need To Find Their Conservative Roots
It is a sad state of affairs when the once strong Republican Party finds itself number 3 with America. What has happened to the Grand Old Party? First and foremost the GOP needs to once again find their conservative roots.
The respondents to the Rasmussen poll were asked the following question:
"Okay, suppose the Tea Party Movement organized itself as a political party. When thinking about the next election for Congress, would you vote for the Republican candidate from your district, the Democratic candidate from your district, or the Tea Party candidate from your district?"
The response of all those who were polled was Democratic 36%, Tea Party 23% and Republican 18%. The poll found that independents are more inclined to vote for a tea party candidate over Democratic or Republican candidates. Yes the Republican Party is a dismal 3rd. Twice as many would vote for the socialist Democrats as would vote for a Republican.
The tea party movement was conceived out of antipathy for socialist Barack Hussein Obama’s economic stimulus plan. Its guiding principles are centered around opposition to tax increases and the expansion of federal government spending. The movement rose to prominence when it organized highly publicized protest gatherings across the country on April 15th.
Tea party sympathizers recently proposed a resolution to make the RNC withhold its endorsement and funding unless candidates pass an "ideological purity test." The movement will hold its first national convention this January in Nashville. But the Republican Party has yet to determine whether or not they can harness the energy emanating from the right wing without being pulled out of the mainstream.
Has the Republican loss of a congressional seat it had held since the 1800s in November shown the GOP anything? Their handpicked candidate who is more liberal than the Democrat who won dropped out of the race when the tea party candidate was ahead in the polls. The GOP candidate then put her support behind the Democrat who narrowly won the election. This is the kind of candidates the Republicans don’t need.
The elitist progressive main stream media says they Republicans can’t win with the tea party support. That support according to them will push the GOP out of the main stream.
The Republican Party can’t win elections listening to the main stream media. The people of America have quit listening to them and the GOP needs to do the same.
Over 40% of Americans express conservative views. The Republicans can regain power by returning to their conservative values. By instilling confidence in America with strong conservative views and ethics the GOP can return to prominence. Pandering to the main stream media the GOP is destined to be Americas 3rd choice.
