Can Liberals Have Ethics And Morals?

Are Liberals The Opposite Of Christians?

Do you think it’s possible to be a liberal and have ethics and morals?  In reality, are liberals the opposite of Christians?  Liberals have the intentions of doing good and helping, the question is though, good for who?  For the most part is the good the liberals think they are doing helping or hurting those they say their helping?  Have you ever heard a liberal say when referring to their ideas. “That didn’t work”?

I have many friends who say they are liberals.  They vote the liberal Democratic ticket.  They believe in helping others, many of them reach out and help others.  Some are even buying the Barack Hussein Obama sermons.  These people have bought the liberal story of how mean and cruel conservatives are to those who don’t have as much as they do.  They believe conservatives are all about wealth, the wealthy, and greed.

For over 30 years we had the Great Society.  This was liberal program that was going to help the poor and make the poor better off.  The liberal program failed miserably and not one liberal will ever admit that.  Not one liberal will tell you that we are still paying for that failure.  Did we have more or less poor during this era?  The ranks of poor swelled.

Then along came Ronald Reagan,  President Reagan was a true conservative.  He cut taxes on the wealthy.  This is blasphemy to a liberal.  He cut taxes on the middle class and the lower class.  What happened?  Americans rich and poor prospered.  Government revenue grew with the tax cuts.  This all happened because people not the government had money and spent it as they saw fit.

The conservative Republicans gained control of Congress.  At times they had to drag President Clinton but the era of big government and the Great Society ended.  What happened?  The economy grew and all Americans prospered, yes all, the wealthy, middle class, and the poor.

The liberals though always know better.  They pit blacks against whites.  Poor and now middle class against wealthy.  In 2 years of running Congress what have the liberals accomplished?  Wall Street is on the verge of collapse, followed closely by banks, insurance companies, and auto makers all. They are all on the verge of collapse.  This complete collapse has been caused by liberal good intentions of making sure people who couldn’t afford home ownership got it anyway.  Legislation and practices by liberals have caused this collapse.

Other than Bill Clinton have you heard one liberal admit any culpability in this collapse?  No, the liberals blame everyone else. According to them it is the wealthy peoples fault.

The true liberal philosophy is to control you.  The liberals know better what you need than you do.  The true liberal is very much an elitist.  Look at them, Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, and Dodd.  Every one of them wants to control you. They want to make all decisions for you.  And none have taken any of the blame for the collapse of our economy.

How can you be a Christian, have ethics, and morals when your creed is the end always justifies the means?  To the liberals like Obama, Pelosi, Reid, Frank, and Dodd the end will always justify the means.  Pitting people against each other isn’t Christian, ethical, or moral.  Destroying lives to accomplish their goals as the liberals do isn’t Christian, ethical, or moral.

Most of my “liberal” friends are Christians with ethics and morals.  They will never admit it but they actually are conservatives.  They care about people and want to help others.  Unfortunately like too many others they have for now bought the liberal line.  Ultimately, when people really need help who do they turn to?  Who do they really count on to help them?  As always it’s the conservatives with the Christian ethics and morals.

HERE IS A LITTLE TRUTH ON YOUR NEW DEAL PHILOSOPHY:
When Franklyn Roosevelt began his presidency in 1933, our nation was in the midst of the greatest depression in our history. Our annual gross domestic product had been nearly cut in half since the Stock Market Crash of three and a half years previously, and unemployment stood at 25%. Within four years of taking office, GDP rose to about 90% of where it had been prior to the Stock Market Crash. In FDR’s first term in office our country experienced a 5.3% increase in jobs – the greatest percent increase in jobs of the past 20 presidential terms, from 1929 to 2009. As a result, the unemployment rate was approximately cut by more than 40% by the end of his first term. By 1941, prior to the onset of World War II, the unemployment rate had declined to below 10%.

The New Deal was so successful that it lasted for several decades, during which median family income rose steadily (in 2005 dollars) from $22,499 in 1947 to more than double that, $47,173 by 1980. This period has thus been referred to by Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman as the “greatest sustained economic boom in U.S. history” – a boom that produced a large and vibrant middle class in our country for the first time.

Yet, we have long been told that it was not the New Deal, but rather World War II that brought us out of the Great Depression. Today, right wingers go way further, telling us that the New Deal did nothing at all to help us, or even that the New Deal prolonged the Great Depression.

The reason for all this is clear. The New Deal, while making life far better for the vast majority of Americans by leveling the playing field, substantially cut into the wealth and power of our ruling elite. They have been striving ever since then to revise history, so as to make dismantling of the New Deal politically feasible and prevent it from making a comeback. I discuss this issue in much greater detail in this post.
ALSO ON YOUR REAGAN CUT TAXES MANTRA:
The taxes on the wealthy under Reagan were 50%. You need to read for yourself and stop listening to the losers.
    ON THE RELIGIOUS ISSUE:
My father in law is a southern baptist minister. I read him your little screed and I can tell you right now--he was not very impressed. You my dear sir are not a Christian if you are trying to use Christ for your own political purposes. You WILL have to answer to God one day about that. You should really stick to something you understand a little better. I'm not sure after reading this what that might be--but good luck hunting.

We all see the economy needs help. How do we explain to future generations, Geithner and Socialist Obama's "fixes" Explaining the national debt to future generations is like trying to explain the Acorn intrusion in Chicago.

Sadly  I think they will get a crash course lesson as the actions of Socialist Obama and Geithner are running up the debt so high the future generations will be paying a big price.  When will it end, not even 3 months in and where are we about what 5-6 Trillion if the budget passes?
